Committed to environmental responsibility
IPC is aware that in today’s business environment, our clients are committed to being environmentally responsible. Insulated Products Corporation takes the health of our environment seriously. Our products have, thanks to their collapsible nature, eliminated millions of cubic feet of potential landfill space over a period of 10 years.
Replacing traditional insulating solutions
IPC’s PopupLiner is quickly replacing the traditional molded cooler. Its collapsible panels occupy 1/4th the volume of an equivalent molded cooler. The panels are also 100% recyclable and easy to recycle using databases that locate nearby recycling depots. (learn more)
Easy to recycle
There are an abundance of recycling centers for such materials in that the materials have high re-use potential. In addition, the collapsible, foldable features of the PopupLiner facilitate ‘return to sender’ options for re-use. In contrast, materials like rock-wool have very little secondary market value and are therefore almost impossible to recycle. Molded coolers, in that they are non-collapsible, cannot be efficiently returned for re-use, this when compared to PopupLiner panels.
Revolutionary recyclable insulation materials
We are always investing in research and development to ensure we can provide the most Earth-friendly materials possible. SustainaLinerTM, our most recent innovation in this space, is a 100% mono-material plastic film product with a high recycling value. The material comes in various forms to suit whatever products you are shipping: box liner, pouch, pallet cover, or insulated roll, and allows you to be both environmentally friendly and cost-effective when shipping your products.
Want to know more about our innovative, superior insulated packaging materials?
Take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions below.
How long will your product keep my shipment cold?
Performance depends upon many factors: The type of IPC insulation you use along with the amount (lbs) of GelTech Refrigerant Gel Packs, but also:
- The temperature outside/weather conditions. Also referred to as ambient temperature.
- The temperature and amount (lbs) of preconditioned goods you ship (your product).
How long will refrigerant gel packs remain frozen?
The answer is that our gel packs will thaw in accordance with the amount of heat they encounter. The packs are designed to defrost slowly while they gradually absorb heat that surrounds them. Naturally, if there is more heat they will melt faster. So, the factors affecting the rate of melting are as follows:
- Type of insulated packaging the packs are placed in.
- The ambient temperatures the gel packs and insulation are subjected to.
- The temperature of the product being shipped.
Does IPC ship internationally?
IPC ships worldwide. Our compact products are designed with the forethought of efficient transportation.
Can Insulated Products Corp packaging materials be recycled?
Yes. CooLiner materials may be recycled into other products such as a wood substitute, which may be used for park benches, landscape decking, boat docks, and the like. For example, Insulated Products Corp type materials have been used to make plastic trays at KFC restaurants in the United States.
